Over the weekend, we held our annual awards banquet and installation of officers. One person we’d like to highlight in particular is, now past Fire Chief, Micky Fyock. In the almost 70 year history of the Woodsboro Volunteer Fire Company, Micky has served as a chief level officer for over 40 years. Of those 40 + years, most had been spent as Fire Chief! Thank you for your dedicated service to the citizens and visitors of our community.
Santa Claus is coming to town!!On Sunday, December 14th, Santa will be making his annual trip through the streets of Woodsboro to ensure that everyone has been good this year. And yes, we mean everyone of all ages! Since Santa wants to save his reindeer’s strength for Christmas Eve, the Woodsboro Volunteer Fire Company and New Midway Vol. Fire Company 9 will be giving him a lift on our fire engines! We will also be visiting other areas in the Keymar area as well. The run starts at 1pm in the Town of Woodsboro and finishing in the Keymar/New Midway area. Please see the below route with estimated times. We can’t wait to see everyone on the 14th! ... See MoreSee Less
